Three tools. Every prep job.
The Peeler
A serrated blade that stays sharp longer. Shaves cabbage paper-thin for slaw, peels tomatoes with no blanching, and leaves little ridges on roasting veg so it crisps up.
The Slicer
A wide, straight blade for even slices. Gets through butternut skin in one pass and is best on the long straight neck.
The Shredder
The julienne tool. Clean strips of carrot, zucchini noodles and potato for slaws, garnishes and stir-fries.
Plus a safety cap for every blade. Roll it on along the blade rather than pushing it straight on, and hold the long edges.
Not sure which one to grab?
Customers asked, so here it is.
- Paper-thin cabbage for slaw Peeler
- Tomatoes and soft fruit like kiwi, plums and mangoes, no blanching Peeler
- Butternut squash, beets, turnips and sweet potatoes Peeler
- Eggplant and zucchini for vegetable lasagna Slicer
- Hard cheese like cheddar and parmesan Slicer
- Julienne or matchstick carrots, cucumber, apples and potatoes Shredder
- Zucchini noodles Shredder
- Even slices of potato, apple and cucumber Slicer Board
- Grating garlic and ginger Slicer Board
Your Slicer, now a mandoline.
The Slicer Board turns the Slicer into a mandoline you can use over a bowl or right on your cutting board. Here's how it works.
Set it in. Rest the Slicer in the grooves in the middle of the board, blade facing up, with the handle resting on the back.
Set it down. Lay the board flat on a cutting board or across a bowl.
Slide and slice. Slide food across the blade. The slices drop through the holes.
Flip it over. The ridges on the back grate garlic and ginger.
The details.
The guarantee
If a blade dulls within 20 years, we replace it for free. Breakage, rust, bending and similar defects are covered for life. Send us a note and we'll sort it out.
How to use each tool
The Peeler works in either direction. For fine coleslaw, cut the cabbage in half and peel along the cut edge.
The Slicer stays low. Hold it flat, or close to the surface of the vegetable.
The Shredder likes an angle. Hold the handle at 30 to 45 degrees to the surface of the vegetable, lay the vegetable flat and pull in one direction. Pin the root end with a fork if it slips.
Care and cleaning
Dishwasher safe, but hand washing keeps them sharper longer. We use a bristled brush and pat them dry with a dish towel. Cap the blades before they go back in the drawer.
Shipping and returns.
Do I have to pay U.S. duties or taxes?
No need to worry! We’ve got it covered.
Your order will arrive with no surprise charges, duties, or customs fees. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at info@spartankitchen.ca. We’re happy to help!
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Every order ships free, with no duties or tariffs.
Where is my order?
All U.S. orders ship through our North American fulfillment network using a two-stage process to keep delivery consistent and affordable:
- Once your order leaves our fulfillment center, it’s transferred to a U.S. carrier such as USPS for final delivery.
- During this handoff, tracking updates may pause for 5 to 7 business days. This is completely normal and simply means your package is on its way to the next carrier.
Returns
Holiday orders can be returned unused until January 15.
How long does shipping take?
All orders are packaged and shipped the within 1-3 business days. Orders typically arrive within 10 to 20 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).
Due to new import regulations and general carrier delays, shipping times are currently a little longer than our usual estimates of 7-10 business days. We appreciate your patience. Most customers receive their packages well within this window.
Can you provide more tracking details?
Once a package enters the carrier network, we receive the same tracking updates that you do. Tracking will begin updating again once the next carrier scans your parcel.
If you have any questions about your order, please email us at info@spartankitchen.ca
How does shipping work, and why has my tracking paused?
Your order ships from our warehouse through a two-stage network with two carriers. Once it leaves our fulfillment centre, it's handed to a local carrier for the final leg.
During that handoff, tracking can pause for 5 to 7 business days. That's normal, and it just means your package is moving to the next carrier. We see the same tracking you do, and it picks back up the moment the next carrier scans your parcel.
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If a package comes back to us because the address was incomplete or incorrect, any cost to resend it falls to the customer.
Can I protect my order?
Yes. At checkout you can add Onward package protection for a small fee. It covers a free reshipment if your order is lost or damaged in transit, offsets the carbon footprint of your shipment, and includes a 90-day money-back guarantee if you aren't happy.
