Why we partnered with Thrive for Good
Hundreds of millions of people go hungry every day.
While we're dreaming up new recipes and trying great restaurants, many people around the world don't know where their next meal will come from, and live with the physical and emotional toll of malnutrition. We partnered with Thrive for Good to do what we can about it.
Thrive for Good has roots in Kenya and works globally to end hunger. Their organic agriculture, nutrition and health curriculum was designed with local leaders. They build gardens, teach people how to maintain them, and create a long-term source of healthy food for families who otherwise wouldn't have one.

Where are the gardens?
In Kenya and Uganda. As of Thrive for Good's June 2026 report there are 33 Spartan Gardens: 32 in Kenya and 1 in Uganda, started between November 2022 and April 2026.
Who looks after a garden once it's built?
The community does. Once a garden is built, its members care for and cultivate it to sustain it, using what they've learned from Thrive for Good's organic agriculture, nutrition and health training.
Does all of the money go to the gardens?
Yes. Corporate donors cover Thrive for Good's operating costs, so 100% of the donations made to Thrive for Good go straight to creating gardens.
