Are there duties or import fees on my order?

Yes. Because our tools are assembled in China, the U.S. currently applies a 30% import tariff. This fee is not included in the product price unless you choose to prepay duties in advance.

What do I pay at checkout?

At checkout, you will only pay for your product and shipping. Any additional duties or import taxes will be collected by the shipping company when your package arrives in the U.S.

Can I prepay the duties to avoid surprises?

Yes. If you'd prefer a smoother delivery process, we can create a custom invoice for your order that includes all duties and import fees upfront. Just reach out to our support team at info@spartankitchen.ca before placing your order.

Why are the tariffs so high?

Although our blades are made in Japan, the tools are assembled in China. Due to current U.S. trade policies, imports from China are subject to significantly higher tariffs, including the current 30% rate.

Will this always be the case?

This is an evolving situation, and we are actively monitoring U.S. tariff regulations. We’ll continue to keep our customers informed of any changes.

Please note: It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all shipping details are complete and accurate at the time of checkout. If a package is returned to us due to an incomplete or incorrect address, any additional shipping costs to resend the order will be the responsibility of the customer.

Orders are packaged and shipped within 1 to 3 business days. Most orders then arrive within 5-15 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Import rules and carrier delays have stretched things a little lately, so thank you for your patience. Most customers get their package well within that window.

Your order ships from our warehouse through a two-stage network with two carriers. Once it leaves our fulfillment center, it's handed to a local carrier for the final leg.

During that handoff, tracking can pause for up to 5 to 7 business days. That's normal, and it just means your package is moving to the next carrier. We see the same tracking you do, and it picks back up the moment the next carrier scans your parcel.

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If a package comes back to us because the address was incomplete or incorrect, any cost to resend it falls to the customer.
