How to Use
Hold it in whichever hand feels natural and run the blade along your fruit or vegetable in any direction. The double-sided blade cuts on both the push and the pull, so there's no wrong way to hold it. Rinse, dry, and you're done.
Care and Cleaning
Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry it right after. The Japanese steel won't rust, but drying keeps the edge at its sharpest. Skip abrasive scrubbers, and store it where the blade won't knock against your other tools. That's the whole routine.

The tools are very nice. The handles are comfortable compared to others. The blades are very sharp and effective. There's not much of a learning curve. I find the covers on 2 of them to be extremely difficult to put back on. That's my least favorite part, because the covers are essential if you're going to keep them in a drawer. They are tricky to clean. No matter how careful I am, I snag repeatedly on the dish cloth or sponge, and once, I snagged on my thumb. Ouch. They are a little pricey, even being as great as they are. All that being said, they are the best I've ever seen or used.
The products are reliable but not as versatile as I thought would be the case according to the claims. The slicer only slices quite thin so if you’re looking for thicker slices of vegetables/cheese, this does not deliver. I like the matchsticks that you can get using the shredder but you have to hold onto a portion of the food item that is more difficult to shred once you are finished shredding the main portion. I would not purchase these if I had known they are limited in what they actually do. My other peeler and kitchen knives work just as well.
Thanks for the honest feedback, we really do appreciate it! You're right that the slicer is meant for thin slices, though not paper-thin like the peeler. For something like a veggie lasagna there's an easy workaround. I just layer a couple of the eggplant slices together per layer and they hold up beautifully. For really thick cuts, a knife is still your friend.
For the shredder and that tricky end piece, try spearing the food on a fork so you can shred right to the end without holding it by hand, and give it a quarter turn every few swipes to keep the cut even. Happy to share more tips if you ever want them.
I haven't received the shredder yet, but the other peelers are fantastic.

As good as the ads suggest! Tried the peeler on potatoes and carrots - seamless, and the bigger one (with the yellow handle) - on mangoes, which was just as great. Highly recommend!
I have a couple peelers that I have been impressed with - their durability and efficiency - and have been using for several years. But I’ve seen these Spartan sets raved about by Food52 and MilkStreet and kept getting ads on social media for them, so I finally ordered them to see what the hype was about. Holy cow! SO sturdy, they don’t feel loosey goosey in the hand, and the blades are sharp. They make my previous favorites feel like lightweights. Glad I made the purchase. You will be, too!

Products are good, but can't say they’re any better than some speed peeles you would get from a restaurant supply store. Feel nice in hand. The julienne peeler is meh compared to the other two. Got the second peeler bundle primarily to keep one with the cocktail bar and the other in the kitchen.
Super sharp, well-made and comfortable in the hand (even big hands!). I peeled some carrots yesterday and it was so smooth, easy and fast.
Was expecting sharper peelers but they still did the job of peeling skin off a soft peach. It may sound silly but I wished the tools were labelled just for quick reference. So far I am enjoying them!
I received the set a few weeks ago and have been using most of the tools on a daily basis for meal prep. All of the items feel sturdy, get the job done, and are easy to use. I look forward to testing the longevity of the products. I haven’t been able to find where it lists the gauge of steel utilized though. As a Mom with a “helpful toddler” I also appreciate the caps to keep curious fingers safe.
I originally bought the potato peeler at a tradeshow and can honestly say it is the best peeler you could ever have!! Looking forward to using the full set and plan on buying these sets for the rest of my family!

We do! Orders of £75 or more ship free to the UK.

How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are packaged and shipped within 1 to 3 business days. Your order will be delivered by Royal Mail, and delivery to the UK typically takes 5 to 12 business days depending on your location. Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number by email so you can follow its journey.

What if my tracking isn't updating?

What is your return policy?
We offer refunds within 15 days of receiving your order. Please note that all return shipping will be paid for by the customer. Refunds will be returned to the original payment method used at checkout.
Do you offer a warranty?
Of course! We offer a lifetime guarantee on all breakage, bending, and snapping on both our Spartan Peelers and Spartan Shredders. We also offer a free blade replacement on your tools within 20 years of purchase.
Just take a photo of your damaged product as well as a photo of our Spartan logo on the handle and send it to info@spartankitchen.ca. A team member will happily help you with your inquiry and get a replacement product or blade to you
How do I clean my Spartan tools?
All Spartan products may be cleaned on the top rack of your dishwasher, although we highly recommend you hand wash and dry all Spartan products to preserve the sharpness of the blades.
Pro Tip: if handwashing, a dish brush works wonders on the teeth of the blade. Gently pat the blade dry after washing.
